"It is time to fundamentally re-think leadership and management in professional services firms – and the wider ecosystem of the professions"

A career in the field of operations consulting (advising Fortune 500 companies as well as midcaps in Germany, Europe, Asia and the US) has led Sebastian to KPMG. He has held various leadership roles across KPMG on both national and international level. Strategic questions, business model and operating model challenges, the role and impact of technology and the next generation leadership and management approaches for professional services are Sebastian’s focus and passion today. His own roles, work and projects typically revolve around the ongoing digital transformation of consulting, legal, tax, accounting and technology services. He loves to discuss these topics with fellow professionals and advance the general management debate for the professions. As a writer and thought leader he contributes to the field in collaboration with leading academic researchers at universities – and shares his thoughts and experiences as a speaker at research conferences, practitioner events and with various peer communities. Today, Sebastian oversees KPMG’s global technology strategy. He is also advising other leading professional services firms (e.g., legal, engineering, consulting or creative) on strategic management, innovation and operations challenges. Sebastian holds a degree in service management, system information science and international management.
