Can inclusion become a competitive advantage? And where does freedom of expression end when hate begins? The seventh day of the 4cLegal Academy brings the finalists face-to-face with two highly relevant challenges: building an inclusive corporate culture and navigating the fine line between rights and responsibilities.
The morning opens with Francesco Canale, CEO of Working Souls, who invites the candidates to reflect on the strategic value of inclusion. At the end of the session, they are assigned a task: draft an 18-month consulting project for a multinational food company facing issues related to disability, generational gaps, and post-acquisition integration. The goal: turn diversity into a driver of growth.
In the afternoon, the focus shifts to freedom of expression and the criminal offense of denialism, guided by Nannerel Fiano (Researcher in Constitutional Law, University of Milan) and Vincenzo Saponara (Criminal Lawyer and Consultant to the Italian Senate for the fight against intolerance and hate speech). The finalists are asked to draft a legal opinion for a publisher, evaluating a real-life inspired case under the European Convention on Human Rights and Italian criminal law.
Judging the challenge: Marilisa D’Amico, Pro-Rector for Third Mission and Equal Opportunities, Full Professor of Constitutional Law, and founder of Human Hall.
